enp-TOToronto Enterprise Fund

Based out of the Toronto Enterprise Fund, Enterprising Non-Profits Toronto (enp-TO) is a grant funding initiative to seed and support social enterprise in the Greater Toronto Area.

In 2008 Enterprising Non-Profits in Vancouver worked with the Centre for Social Innovation in Toronto to replicate the enp program, creating enp-TO which had eleven initial funding partners, nearly 200 people attending workshops, and distributed over $100,000 in grants in its first year. Now managed by the Toronto Enterprise Fund, the enp-TO program continues today and supports social enterprises throughout the greater Toronto region.

Enp is a collaborative program that provides grants and technical assistance to non-profit organizations to support the development or growth of their social enterprises (i.e., revenue generating businesses). Enp holds Social Enterprise workshops for non-profit organizations wanting to learn more about social enterprise and how to gain access to enp grants for business planning projects.
