$1000 Bursaries Available for SFU CED Course

APPLY NOW! $1,000 Bursary for Simon Fraser University's Certificate Program for Community Economic Development

APPLICATION DEADLINE is September 9, 2011

Applicants are required to be currently working or volunteering with a community-based organization to be eligible. Applicants from Aboriginal and immigrant communities will be prioritized for bursaries, although applications are encouraged from everyone.

Successful applicants meet the following criteria

    1. Is a volunteer or staff with a community-based organization.
    2. Clearly identified learning objectives and time frame for completing the program that identifies which courses you intend to register for in 2011 - 2012.
    3. Have outlined specific activities for sharing lesson's learned with others in your organization or community.
    4. Financial need of the applicant. Bursaries are for those people who could otherwise not complete the program.
    5. Preference is given to people from Aboriginal and immigrant communities.
    6. Commitment to complete a minimum of five courses in the 2011-2012 academic year. All certificate students are required to complete the program within two years.
