Be Part of BC’s first Public Policy Institute – Now Accepting Applications!

August 16, 2010

A message from the United Way of the Lower Mainland:

Advance your organization's critical policy issues. Increase your insight into the policy process. Develop the key strategies that influence decision making.

Led by former premier Mike Harcourt, the United Way Public Policy Institute offers innovative, real world skills and knowledge. Targeted to senior managers grappling with dynamic challenges in social and health services, participants will learn how they can help change the future by shaping public policy.

Taught by a faculty of leading policy experts, and targeted to today's complex issues, successful applicants will be mentored on a policy project relevant to their organizations.

Designed to accommodate busy non-profit leaders, sessions will be delivered over 12 days from January to June 2011. Open to participants from across the province, bursaries will be provided to cover tuition, accommodation and travel.

Space is limited. Apply now. Deadline for receiving application is Sept. 15, 2010.
