A couple books that you may want to check out…both offer valuable advice and perspectives, and are important pieces to the growing literature on social enterprise.Mission, Inc. – the practitioner’s guide to social enterprise, by Kevin Lynch and Julius Walls, Jr., two leading social enterprise leaders from the U.S. This book examines the opportunities and challenges of ten paradoxes of social enterprise from their experience and the experience of other social enterprise practitioners. (Berrett-Koehler Publishers, ISBN 978-1-57675-479-5)Management for Social Enterprise by Bob Doherty et al from the Liverpool Business School, Liverpool John Moores University contains both an examination of the framework of social enterprise within the larger economy and then a series of management tools for social enterprise; including managing people, finances, marketing, ethic and governance.  (Sage Publications, ISBN 978-1-4129-4749-7, in Canada available from Nelson Education in Toronto.)
