The following video describes what social enterprise is and what Enterprising Non-Profits (enp) is all about.

The video was produced by Intersections Media (http://www.intersectionsmedia.com/), a non-profit skills development program that works with at-risk youth and provides both workshop and project-based programs for film, video and arts production.  (For more information on Intersections Media, see bottom of this page).

Intersections was founded by the late Bill Vince, an Oscar nominated Vancouver filmmaker who overcame personal barriers to achieve international renown.  The continued success of the Intersections programming is inspired by Bill's commitment to helping others help themselves; and his belief in the potential of youth.

Intersections reaches a broad spectrum of youth located in the Lower Mainland who face multiple barriers to securing employment or accessing mainstream programs in film and video production.  Supported by mentors and role models drawn from the film industry and arts organizations, young participants at Intersections are introduced to opportunities for personal, creative and career development through workshops in film and video production.  By participating in and working on program deliverables, youth are taught how to communicate ideas, prioritize issues, analyze problems, cope with stress and assume responsibility.

At Intersections, youth are taught the essential 21st century skills required to break the cycle of social services and achieve self-sufficiency and sustainable employment.
