New Appointment at Nelson Cares Society

It is with great pleasure that the Board of Directors and Management of Nelson CARES Society announces the appointment of Jarmila Hradil to the newly-created position of Development and Properties Manager. Jarmila began her duties on June 15th. This new position was created in acknowledgement of the society’s expanding role in the area of social enterprise and affordable housing and its corresponding need to bring a more focussed, business-oriented approach to these activities. Jarmila has a Masters degree in Community Psychology and is currently completing a post-graduate diploma in Business Administration through Simon Fraser University. She has been with the society since 2006 as the Services for Community Living Program Manager. She has many years of experience in the social service non-profit sector which is invaluable as Nelson CARES Society moves forward with more social entrepreneurial efforts. We are grateful to Columbia Basin Trust for their contribution toward the cost of this new position in its inaugural year.
