SFU CED Certificate Course

SFU Certificate Program for Community Economic Development Course

The Certificate Program for Community Economic Development is jointly delivered by the Centre for Sustainable Community Development and the Canadian Community Economic Development Network. The program is comprised of eight intensive two-day courses for community leaders to explore, with peers, the models and methods for building sustainable, local, robust economies. Tackle real world problems with experienced practitioners to guide you.

It is an 8 part program that includes the following courses:

  • Foundations
  • Community Organizing
  • Community-based Venture Development
  • Social Finance
  • Social Enterprise (February 17 – 18 (Prince Rupert) and February 24 – 25 (Vancouver)
  • Framework and Applications in Co-operative Development
  • Sustainable Community Development
  • Special Topics Studio Framework and Applications
