Fundraising Event for Meals on Wheels Social Enterprise

The Health and Home Care Society of BC cordially invites you to attend the inaugural Meals on Wheels Golf Classic.   The 18-hole, Texas Scramble style tournament, set to tee off 1pm on Monday, September 19th, 2011 at the University Golf Club in Vancouver, promises to be a fabulous success. We welcome the community to join us for an enjoyable day, and the opportunity to support a great cause.

Why Meals on Wheels?

Operated by the Health and Home Care Society of BC (HHCSBC), Meals on Wheels has been delivering hot, nutritious meals and social interaction each weekday to isolated Vancouver and Richmond residents since 1967. In 1996, HHCSBC launched the first ever Chinese Meals on Wheels program in Canada, and the province's first Meals on Bikes program in 2007. In 2010 alone, 100,119 meals were served in Vancouver and Richmond, and this need continues to grow.

Prices for Meals on Wheels' meals range from $2.75 for a Sandwich Pack to $5.75 for a hot meal.
