enp Grants Announced!

The enp funders are pleased to announce their distribution of $168,900 for 28
social enterprise planning projects across the province. Enp received the
largest number of applications ever in this most recent round, and with the
additional funding from a number of the current funders and the addition of a
new anonymous donor were able to support 50% of all the applications.
Thank
you to the donors, a special thanks to all the applicants, and
congratulations to the grant recipients.

Enp Learning Series Commenced

  For Social Enterprise with George Brown, the next
  event in the enp Learning Series on Thursday, February 21

• The enp Learning Series had its first event last Thursday, and it was a
  success. A special thanks to speaker, Derek Gent, HAVE Culinary Training Society
  for hosting the event, as well as event coordinator, Julie Toh.
• Free enp Learning Events will be held every 3rd
  Thursday of the month from January until May, 2008. This is a great
  opportunity to gain knowledge on social enterprise issues and build your social
  capital! The learning series will take place in Vancouver, but if you can't be
  there in person, watch the website for podcasts of each event.
