enp Social Enterprise Workshops a great success
Enp has held seven social enteprise workshops so far this Fall, with over 100
participants from all across BC. We have two more to go next week - Port Alberni
on October 30th and Victoria on November 1st - just in time for our November
27th grant application deadline.
enp launching new Ask the Expert section on our website
Next month, enp will be adding an "Ask the Legal Expert" section to our
website. Submit your legal questions on the enp website and have access to
information provided by a group of lawyers who specialize in non-profit and
social enterprise issues. Join us on November 22nd from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the
YWCA for the launch of this exciting resource.
Current Policy Issue - Social Enterprise and Government Procurement
Enp and the BC Social Economy Roundtable (BCSER) recently attended an event
to discuss procurement issues with Minister Michael Fortier and Parliamentary
Secretary James Moore from the Ministry of Public Works and Government Services
Canada. Enp and BCSER submitted a short briefing
note to the Minister, outlining the issues facing social enterprise and
recommendations to expand government purchasing return on investment. Click here
