Enterprising Non-Profits Program
Report on Non-Profits and their Social Enterprises
2000-2002

This
report documents the experience of the ENP Program and the 33
organizations that it has funded over the past three years. The
research findings, and in particular the 15 case studies, document the
benefits of enterprise development for the organizations and the
communities that they serve, as well as the key challenges and needs of
organizations as they develop and launch their enterprises. A clearer
picture of the factors affecting success in enterprise development has
emerged from the research. As one of the funding partners of the
Enterprising Non-Profits Program, Vancity supported the publication of
this research.
